Thank you Secret Pal!!!
My package from my Secret Pal arrived on Monday! (yeah, tardy posting but thanked my SP via email already!)
The goodies came all the way from Australia and definitely travelled first class!!!
Here are some close-up pix of my goodies: A gorgeous skein of worsted weight merino handpainted yarn from The Knittery Yarn, three skeins of DK wool from Sean Sheep, a pair of Swallow DPN that I've been searching high and low for over here in the USA, 2 packages of Tim Tam in flavours I never tried before. (Too bad we can't get Tim Tams over here in North America, no, maybe it is a good thing. I already ate half the packet of the Chewy Caramel, bad bad me)and 2 bars of handmade soap. The soaps were so fragrant that their aroma escaped from the box before I even opened it!!!
Thank you so much my dear Secret Pal!

Les Invasions Barbares (The Barbarian Invasions)
I watched this movie "Les Invasions Barbares" (written and directed by Denys Arcand) this evening instead of writing my application essay for grad school.
This movie is the sequel to "Le Declin de l'Empire Americain" (The Decline of the American Empire). Both were great movies but this one (The invasions) seemed to have touched me more. Both well worth watching.
On a fiber note, I went to the LYS this afternoon and pick up 2 Morehouse Farm knit kits. One is for knitting the schoolbus scarf: http://www.morehousefarm.com/KnittingKits/Scarves/SchoolBus/
And the other kit for knitting a hat for Marlis. She actually picked out the pattern and the yarn, it will be in pink, of course!

I am already 1/4 of the way complete with the hat (knitting while watching the Invasions movie).
Pix to come when the husband returns from the UK. He took our camera with him.

Sienna cardigan from Interweave Knits Fall 2006
Will post a photo later but I have never frogged so much as I have for that cardiga. I am getting gauge width-wise but definitely NOT getting gauge lengthwise. sigh... Why is it sooo easy to frog yet so difficult to knit. It takes me 3 min to frog something that took 1 hr to knit.
I guess knitters all have patience of steel??????
Short post tonite because I am all blogged out and pretty tired since the husband is galavanting around the UK for almost 2 weeks.
